PRE CONGRESS TOUR N°1: THALASSOTHERAPY & GOLF…AT THE HEART OF NORMANDY FROM OCTOBER 28 TO 30, 2007.

Deauville, the Grande Dame of seaside resorts and the most glamorous and internationally best known of France’s coasts, symbolises elegance, prestige and refinement.
A prestigious place, American due to its fame for hosting the American Film Festival, French by its elegance, soft and gentle with the air you breathe there and the ambiance that surrounds you, Deauville still remains to be explored…
We propose two internationally renowned, legendary hotels belonging to the Barrière chain: For golf enthusiasts, the Hotel du Golf 4*
will more than meet all expectations. For those who wish to make the most of Deauville itself, with its Casino, restaurants or even its Spa, Le Normandy 4* will offer both luxury and comfort.

DAY 1 – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2007 – PARIS/DEAUVILLE
Departure by TER (Regional Express Train) train in the afternoon from Saint Lazare Station for Deauville. (Warning: The last train for Deauville leaves at 6:25pm). On your arrival, transfer to the hotel of your choice and check-in. Dinner free.

DAY 2 - MONDAY OCTOBER 29, 2007 - DEAUVILLE Day free to enjoy the hotel’s facilities, spa or golf. Lunch and dinner free.

DAY 3 - TUESDAY OCTOBER 30, 2007 – DEAUVILLE/PARIS
Morning and lunch free. In the afternoon, transfer to the station and departure by train for Paris. Arrival at Saint Lazare Station and transfer to hotel selected.

PRE CONGRESS TOUR N°2: 
NORMANDY / BRITTANY TOUR FROM OCTOBER 28 TO 30, 2007.

SAINT-MALO, THE CITY OF THE CORSAIRS

The city is the jewel of the Emerald Coast, a region in northern Brittany. It has given birth to discoverers like Jacques Cartier, intrepid corsairs like Surcouf (Napoleon’s privateer) and writers like Chateaubriand. The bracing iodized climate and the beauty of the coastal landscapes have made this town a reputed seaside resort.

MONT SAINT MICHEL
This rocky island in the middle of the bay, exposed to the violent winds blowing in from the ocean, is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious achievements of the Midst Ages and a unique natural geographic and cultural site in the world. Set like a jewel in the midst of the wide expanses of the sandy shore.

DAY 1 – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2007 – PARIS/RENNES/SAINT-MALO
Early in the afternoon, departure by TGV train (High Speed Train) from Paris Montparnasse Station to Saint-Malo via Rennes. On your arrival, transfer to hotel located within the town’s walls. Check-in and settling down in your room. Dinner free. Night at the hotel.

DAY 2 – MONDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2007 – SAINT-MALO/DINARD/MONT SAINT-MICHEL
After breakfast, exploration of the walled city: walking tour during which your guide will make you relive the historical highlights of the city and its ramparts. Then departure by bus for a city tour: you will drive along the city’s ramparts, cross through the fishing port of Saint Servan and reach the town of Aleth with its unique view of the Rance tidal power plant, the Solidor Tower (International Museum of Cape Horners), the pleasure-boat port, the Isthmus of Sillon. You will then go to Dinard where lunch will be served. Exploration of this charming seaside resort: the British aristocracy started building here in the second half of the 19th century. At the end of the afternoon, transfer by bus to Mont Saint-Michel. On your arrival at the hotel, check-in and settling into your rooms. Dinner and night at the hotel (located in the Mont Saint-Michel heart).

DAY 3 – TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2007 – MONT SAINT-MICHEL/PARIS
After breakfast, guided tour of the medieval village, draw bridge, main street with its museums, businesses and 15th and 16th century houses, lanes and by-lanes, the Parish Church and the superb Benedictine Abbey. You can enjoy the incomparable beauty of the Bay while walking down the ramparts or along the widow’s walk, interspersed by small gardens. Free time to enjoy the charm of the town. Lunch free. In the afternoon, transfer to Rennes Railway Station and departure by the TGV train for Paris. Arrival at Paris Montparnasse Station and transfer on foot to the hotel selected for the congress.


POST CONGRESS TOUR N°2: NORMANDY / BRITTANYTOUR FROM NOVEMBER 5 TO 7, 2007.
DAY 1 – MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2007 – PARIS/RENNES/MONT SAINT-MICHEL
In the morning, departure by TGV (High Speed Train) from Paris Montparnasse Station to Rennes. A light meal will be served on board. Transfer by bus to Mont Saint-Michel. Arrival at the hotel, check-in and settling into your rooms. PRE CONGRESS TOUR N°3: CASTLES IN THE LOIRE VALLEY TOUR FROM OCTOBER 28 TO 30, 2007.
You will visit these castles or “châteaux”, as they are called, and learn some of the astonishing history of the great kingdom of France, while discovering one of France’s most beautiful regions. As will find, the bewitching charm of the region’s fabulous past still lives on here.

DAY 1 – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2007 – PARIS/TOURS/AMBOISE
In the early afternoon, departure TGV (High Speed Train) by train from Paris Montparnasse Station for the train station in Tours. On your arrival, transfer to Azay le Rideau and free Castle tour (with documents): The Château d'Azay-le-Rideau was built during the reign of François I. Rising up from the heart of a romantic parkland, the castle is marked by a remarkable unity of style. The décor of the fully furnished rooms recounts the lives of some of the area’s most illustrious guests through the centuries. Then, departure for the Château de Villandry to explore its magnificent gardens. Towards the end of the day, transfer to your hotel in Amboise. Check-in and settle into your rooms. Dinner and night at the hotel.

DAY 2 – MONDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2007 – AMBOISE/CHENONCEAU/AMBOISE
After breakfast, departure by bus to explore the Royal Château d’Amboise: guided tour in the city followed by the tasting of regional wines. Then, departure to Clos Lucé (free visit with documents). Clos Lucé which invites the public to explore the fabulous machines designed by Leonardo da Vinci: aeroplanes, automobiles, helicopters, tanks, revolving bridge, etc. Lunch at the Auberge du Prieuré After the meal, transfer to explore another of the Loire’s marvellous Châteaux: The Château de Chenonceau (free visit): Chenonceau Castle is not just remarkable for its architecture and history, but also for its wealth of collections. At the end of the day, transfer to the hotel. In the evening, transfer for a gastronomical dinner outside. Night at the hotel.

DAY 3 – TUESDAY,OCTOBER 30, 2007 – AMBOISE/CHAMBORD/BLOIS/TOURS/PARIS
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a tour of the Château de Chambord. An emblematic palace of the early days of the French Renaissance, this was François I castle and has become an essential part of any Loire castle tour. After visiting Chambord, departure for Blois. Free time to explore Blois and the Castle (castle entrance not included). A princely, then royal residence, in particular under the Valois, Blois Castle remains memorable for several major events in France’s history. It is also one of the monuments that best translate the changes in different architectural styles, from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Lunch free. In the afternoon, transfer to the station in Tours and departure by TGV (High Speed Train) train to Montparnasse Station (light meal served on board). Arrival in Paris in the early evening and transfer to hotel reserved during the congress.



POST CONGRESS TOUR N°3: CASTLES IN THE LOIRE VALLEY TOUR FROM NOVEMBER 5 TO 7, 2007.
DAY 1 – MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2007 – PARIS/TOURS/BLOIS/CHAMBORD/AMBOISE
Early morning, transfer to Montparnasse Station and departure by TGV (High Speed Train) to Tours. Arrival at the train station in Tours and transfer to Blois. Free time to explore Blois or the Castle (see description for pre-congress tour). Lunch free (castle entrance not included). Departure early afternoon for a tour of the one of the most legendary castles of France: the Château de Chambord.
