Reservations for excursions for accompanying persons will have to be made along with reservations for accommodation and pre-and post-congress tours.You may also register for these activities at the Méridien Montparnasse Hotel itself,at the desk of our agency, DESTINATION PLUS.However, DESTINATION PLUS will not be able to guarantee the availability of the excursions desired in that case.
The final departure timings for the accompanying persons’excursions will be given in the final programme and also displayed in the congress hotels.You may change excursions at the Méridien Montparnasse Hotel itself, at the DESTINATION PLUS desk, without additional fees (except for changing by a more expensive excursion or for cancellation) subject to availablility. If the minimum number of participants do not register, excursions may be postponed or cancelled. November 1 is a holiday in France, but most sites in Paris will remain open.

PARIS MUSEUM PASS The pass enables you to avoid the long queues at Paris’ monuments and museums, including the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay and the Arc de Triomphe. With the pass, you will also receive a pocket guide listing the sites, with their addresses and opening times.

PANORAMIC VISIT DE PARIS October 29, 30 and 31, and November 1, 2 and 3 A guided, panoramic visit to discover Paris and its monuments. You will explore Montmartre village, downtown Paris, the Place de l’Opéra, the Place Vendôme, the Rue de Rivoli, the Place de la Concorde and go up the Champs Elysées until the Arc de Triomphe before reaching the Eiffel Tower and carrying on along the banks of the Seine (the Grand Palais, the Louvre and the île de la Cité, along with the Notre-Dame Cathedral), before visiting the Latin Quarter.Your guide will tell you about the city’s 2000 year-old history. HALF-DAY OR DAY TOUR TO VERSAILLES October 30, November 2 At around 40 min from Paris, Versailles is the biggest château built in the 17th century, reigned over by Louis XIV, the Sun King. In the morning, you will visit the Château proper: the King and Queen’s apartments, the gallery of mirrors, the royal chapel, the opera and the royal couple’s bedroom, the gallery of the major battles in France’s History, with its monumental paintings, and the gardens up to Neptune’s Fountain. In case of full-day tour: The afternoon will be devoted to a discovery of Marie-Antoinette’s Domain: the Grand Trianon, the Petit Trianon built by the architect Gabriel, under King Louis XV and Madame de Pompadour, in the neoclassical style with its garden, the magnificent Queen’s Theatre – one of Europe’s fines, the belvedere and the grotto. The tour will then continue through the park and reach the Queen’s Hamlet or Hameau de la Reine, designed by Marie-Antoinette. Return to Paris at the end of the afternoon. COOKING LESSON WITH “LENOTRE” FOLLOWED BY LUNCH A school for gourmet enthusiasts! / November 2 In Paris, the Ecole Lenôtre will open its doors to adults, offering a full range of workshops and shows where everything will be about flavours. Guided by Chefs trained in teaching, neophytes and initiates will find themselves on familiar ground, to enjoy tasting, savouring and feasting their eyes. All the workshops proposed by the Ecole Lenôtre at the Elysée Pavilion are designed around a dozen or so themes, changing according to the seasons. To-and-fro transfers from Hotel Méridien included.
