ENTRY FORMALITIES

Citizens of European Union member countries can visit Romania without a visa for a maximum 90-day stay.
However, a passport valid for at least 6 months after the date of entry into the Romanian territory is necessary to cross the border.
For short stays not exceeding 90 days, European citizens (citizens of one of the Union’s 27 member countries as well as Swiss and Norwegian citizens) can enter Romania with a valid national identity card.

Congress delegates from some countries need to obtain a visa in order to enter Romania. They must fulfil the administrative requirements of the Consulate or Embassy of Romania in their country of residence. It is strongly recommended that you apply for the visa well ahead of your departure date.

TRANSPORT BY AIR

AIR FRANCE and TAROM are the official carriers for the Bucharest Congress. You can obtain of preferential rates by making your reservations directly with either of the two airlines.

TAROM
To obtain preferential non restrictive rates(1), Congress delegates must contact the offices of the Romanian airline TAROM directly and present official documentary evidence of their participation in the Congress (registration form, invitation, etc.).

TAROM has blocked a certain number of seats for the UIA Congress on flights from the following cities on October 28 and 29 and on November 2 and 3 for the return.

In view of the limited number of seats and the fact that these preferential rates(1) cannot be guaranteed after the September 15, 2008, we urge you to make your reservations as soon as possible with:
