Pre-Congress: Casablanca / Marrakech / Fez

Day 1: Casablanca

Reception at Casablanca’s Mohamed V Airport

Day 2: Casablanca/Marrakech

Breakfast

City tour of Casablanca, Morocco’s commercial capital and the country’s main port.

Tour of United Nations Square, Mohamed V Square, the Pasha’s Mohakama and the Anfa residential area.

External visit of the impressive Hassan II Grand Mosque.

Lunch (fish) on the coast, then transfer by bus to Marrakech.

Dinner and night stay at hotel.

Day 3: Marrakech

Breakfast at hotel.

Day tour of Marrakech.

Outdoor visit in the morning: The famous Menara Gardens, the Majorelle Gardens, the tanners’ locality. Lunch in a Moroccan restaurant.

After lunch, a historical tour: The Bahia Palace, the Ménara, the Koutoubia, the Saadian tombs and, finally, the Djemaa El Fna Square with its snake-charmers, storytellers and bright, colourful souks.

Return late afternoon to your hotel.

Dinner and night stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Marrakech/Fez

Breakfast at the hotel.

Breakfast and departure for Fez, via the Tadla plateau. Lunch at Béni Mellal and on to Fez via the cedar forest, the Ifrane health resort and Azrou, a Berber village in the mountains.

Arrival at Fez late afternoon.

Post-Congress: Fez / Errachidia / Erfoud/Ouarzazate / Marrakech

From Monday September 5 to Thursday September 8, 2005

Day 1: Fez/Errachidia/Erfoud

Departure for Erfoud after breakfast, via Ifrane, a health resort located at an altitude of 1650 m, passing through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas mountains and the village of Tit Mahdidt. After crossing the pass, lunch at Midelt. Onward journey crossing the foothills of the Upper Atlas mountains, via the city of Errachidia, and the Ziz Valley (1 million palm trees). Arrival at Erfoud for dinner and stay at hotel.

Dinner and night stay at hotel.

Day 2: Erfoud/Ouarzazate

Breakfast at hotel.

Departure towards Tineghir, along the Oued Ziz Valley and through the Tafilalet palm grove. Lunch in the Todra Gorge, a steep-walled red and ochre stone canyon. Onward journey to Ouarzazate via the Dades Valley.

Pass through El Kelaa de Megouna, the capital of wild roses, followed by the Skoura Oasis. Arrival at Ouarzazate.

Dinner and night stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Ouarzazate/Marrakech

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure for Marrakech via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass, the highest road pass in Morocco (2260 m), a winding road full of contrasts and punctuated with small market towns.

Lunch in Marrakech.

After lunch, a historical tour: The Bahia palace, the Ménara, the Koutoubia, the Saadian tombs and, finally, the Djemaa El Fna Square with its snake-charmers, storytellers and bright, colourful souks.

Day 4: Departure

Breakfast at hotel, then transfer to airport, depending on flight timings.

Cancellation conditions:
Up to June 30, 2005: 15% of the deposit shall be retained as cancellation charge.

Between July 1 and 31, 2005: 50% of the deposit shall be retained as cancellation charge.

After August 1, 2005: The total amount shall be forfeited as cancellation fee.
