Registration fees
Registration fees must be paid in euros.
Each completed registration form accompanied by the full payment of registration fees will be acknowledged by a receipt and a written confirmation from the UIA.

Registrations for one day
If you wish to participate in the Congress for one day only, kindly note that registration by the day is only permitted in exceptional cases and you can only benefit from this option for a single day at the Congress.
Registraton for Moroccan participants
Please note that Moroccan participants will have the possibility to pay their congress registration fees in their local currency, Dirhams (by cheque or bank transfer). For further information, please contact the UIA or Mr CHATER, President of the congress, who will inform you about registration fees in Dirhams and bank details in Morocco. Moroccan participants must register to the congress by returning their registration form as well as a proof of payment (bank transfer or cheque) to the UIA by fax or email: uiacentre@uianet.org – Fax: +33 1 44 88 55 77. Payment in Dirhams with a copy of the registration form must be sent to Mr CHATER – 34, Avenue Hassan II, Fez, Morocco – Tel: 055 62 37 43. Methods of Payment
Registration fees for the Congress, closing dinner and general excursion, payable only in Euros, must be paid by:
1. Cheque in Euros, to the attention of the UIA – UIA, 25 rue du Jour, 75001 Paris – France 2. Credit card (VISA, EUROCARD/MASTERCARD) 3. Bank transfer, with “no charges to be paid by the beneficiary” written on the transfer order, favouring the “Union Internationale des Avocats” and indicating your name and first name, as well as “49th Congress/Fez”, to:

Cancellation conditions
All cancellations would be the subject of a 20% deduction for handling charges and should reach the Union Internationale des Avocats in writing by July 31, 2005. No reimbursements will be made for any cancellations received after this date. In order to avoid any reimbursement problems, we strongly advise persons needing a visa to register as early as possible.
Participants who have paid the registration fees in full and are unable to attend the Congress in person may transfer their registration to a colleague and inform the UIA. Handling charges of 50 Euros shall be charged in such cases.
All reimbursements shall be made after the Congress.
The Union International des Avocats shall send a confirmation in writing upon receipt of your registration and the full payment of the charges for the events you select. A registration number shall be attributed to each participant, which he or she will have to present upon registering at the Jnan Palace Hotel in order to receive the Congress documents.
Any registrations after August 15, 2005 can only be paid for by credit card (bank transfers will no longer be accepted after this date).
The Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA) and OBJECTIF MAROC reserve the right to cancel or postpone the Congress to a later date, change the Congress venue and/or programme, correct or amend the information published in the Congress programme and cancel any invitation to participate at the Congress, at any time and at their entire discretion, without having to provide any reasons for doing so.
Neither the UIA nor OBJECTIF MAROC nor any of their officials, employees, agents, members or representatives can be held responsible for any loss or damage, irrespective of its nature, suffered (directly or indirectly) by a congress delegate, accompanying person or third party, due to any cancellation, change, postponement or modification.
Neither the UIA nor any of its officials, employees, agents, members or representatives can be held responsible for any loss or damage, irrespective of its nature, suffered (directly or indirectly) by a congress participant or accompanying person, except in the event of death or bodily injury caused due to serious negligence on the part of the UIA.
The contractual relationship between the UIA and each participant (congress participant or accompanying person) in relation to the Congress shall be subject to French law, to the exclusion of any other law. The city whose jurisdiction shall apply is Paris.
As far as accommodation for the Congress and tourist excursions suggested by OBJECTIF MAROC before and after the Congress are concerned, the contractual relationship would be established directly between OBJECTIF MAROC and each participant. This relationship would be subject to Moroccan law, to the exclusion of all other laws. The city whose jurisdiction shall apply is Fez.
