UIA has entrusted DESTINATION PLUS with reserving and handling the air transport. To this end, DESTINATION PLUS has reserved flights from the cities given in the table below on VARIG (Brazilian Airlines), TAP Portugal and AIR EUROPA. Depending on requests, other dates could be included later on.

Due to the very high occupancy rates of flights to Brazil, you are advised to reserve your seats as soon as possible on the “UIA allotments”.

Attention! In case any of the above airlines is unable to meet its commitments with regard to seat reservations, Destination Plus reserves the right to replace the concerned airline with another.

TAP is the Portuguese airline, which joined the Star Alliance on 14 March 2005. The Alliance is the biggest air group in the world today.
With a major hub in Lisbon – a preferred access platform in Europe – at the crossroads with other continents, this airline is turning into the leading European air transporter for the Brazilian market. The TAP does not have any First Class section, but does have an excellent Business Class.

Varig is the Brazilian airline, which serves most Brazilian cities via Sao Paulo from Paris, Amsterdam, London, Milan, Frankfurt, Madrid, Miami & Buenos Aires. It too is a member of the Star Alliance, the world’s biggest air transport group.
Varig is the most flown airline within Brazil. We recommend those who wish to take part in the pre- and post-congress tours to choose this airline.

Air Europa may be considered as one of Europe’s most modern air charter companies.
Air Europa’s flight network covers a large portion of Spain and has direct flights to Salvador de Bahia from Madrid, as well as European and North African destinations (Paris, Milan, Rome, Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Lisbon, Porto, Tunis, Marrakesh, etc.).

You may make your reservations on one of these airlines with DESTINATION PLUS by filling in the attached registration slip, in which the various reserved flights departing from major European, American and South American cities are given.

The choice of return flights is up to you, but it is IMPERATIVE for the same airline to be used both ways, leaving from and returning to the same city. Other dates, please consult us.

All participants will obviously be free to reserve their flights on their own. But for your information, all the airlines not mentioned above do not offer flights to Salvador de Bahia and, whatever the price of the transatlantic flight, you would have to add the cost of the domestic flight, which may vary between 400 to 600 dollars, return.

We advise congress participants from countries not covered by the above airlines to fly to one of the cities given in the table above, particularly for the pre-and post-congress tours.

Special rates will only be granted to participants and Congress delegates who reserve their tickets on Varig Brazilian Airlines through Destination Plus (see registration form).
The prices given in the registration form do no include airport and security taxes, fuel surcharge and issuance cost (around 180€ as on 18/04/2006). These taxes might increase or decrease before emission of the tickets and may be subject to revision before the departure date (13 July 1992 Act, Article 19). The dollar prices are indicative and will be adjusted according to the exchange rate on the day you make your reservation (on 18/04/2006: 1€ = 1.2252$US).
