Entry Formalities

If you are a national of the European Union (EU), Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein, all you need is a valid passport or identity card.

Countries for which visas are not required:

Nationals from the following countries have to present their valid passports, which will enable them to stay in Spain for a maximum period of 90 days: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, USA, Guatemala, Honduras, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Republic of Korea, San Marino, Holy See, Singapore, Uruguay and Venezuela.

For other nationalities:

If you are a national from any other country, in accordance with the criteria imposed by the European Union, you will have to apply for a visa at the Consulate of Spain in your country of residence. You will also have to present a valid passport. If required, you may have to give the reason for submitting an application to enter Spain. If they deem it opportune, the Spanish authorities may also require proof from the establishment where you will be accommodated, a confirmation of your reservation in case of a package tour, your return ticket or tour ticket, or perhaps a letter of invitation from an individual.
You may also be asked to prove that you have sufficient monetary resources to cover your expensive during your stay in Spain.
